Sometimes when money is tight, all you have is leftovers to get you through. While it's a blessing to have something to stretch during tough times, it doesn't feel that great to be down to your last. Often we can feel that way spiritually as well. Thankfully as we'll see in Matthew 9:15-22, the Gospel has a way of turning our lasts into much more.

It occurred to me how deceptive the enemy can be by sometimes making me think that certain times coming to the Lord aren't desirable. But even times where discouragement, repentance, or shame lead to the Lord, are times of freedom. Even detours when leading to the destination of Christ can be pleasant. Psalm 139 will guide us through this one. Come tune in, Episode 15.

"The excess of more can't give you the satisfaction of fullness" – I probably wouldn't have understood this wisdom growing up. As I have though, I see how the prospect of "more" can be a manipulative and tempting substitute for fullness. In Ep. 11, I look to Proverbs 30's wise example of not being captive to this.
